QUT’s Australian Centre for Health Law Research is offering a new PhD Scholarship on voluntary assisted dying. The PhD is part of an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship project which explores the regulation of voluntary assisted dying as a new and important aspect of end-of-life decision-making in Australia. The project includes comparative case studies of regulation in Canada (collaborator: Professor Jocelyn Downie, Dalhousie University) and Belgium (collaborators: Professors Luc Deliens and Kenneth Chambaere, VUB). More information about the project and research team are available here: https://research.qut.edu.au/voluntary-assisted-dying-regulation/.
The project is an interdisciplinary one. Although based in the Law Faculty, applications are welcome from other disciplines including regulation, social science, bioethics and health/public policy.
