I first started a course in pedagogical sciences at KU Leuven. I specialised in education and training sciences. Together with other researchers, I had the opportunity to further develop and publish my thesis, 'The governance of equity funding schemes for disadvantaged schools: lessons from national case studies'. After this, I followed the master's programme in Globalisation and Development Studies at Maastricht University.
Subsequently, on 1 October 2020, I started my doctorate at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in social health sciences around the theme 'Compassionate VUB'.
